Overview:
Maplewood School District is seeking a dedicated and compassionate School Social Worker to support K12 students for the 20252026 school year. This role is ideal for professionals passionate about mental health, equity, and helping students thrive both in and out of the classroom.
Responsibilities:

Provide social-emotional and behavioral support services to students across grade levels.

Conduct individual and group counseling sessions.

Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to address student needs.

Develop and implement IEP-related social work goals and interventions.

Connect families with community resources and crisis support when needed.

Maintain accurate documentation and adhere to district and state compliance standards.
Qualifications:

Active NJ School Social Worker Certification (required).

Masters degree in Social Work from an accredited program.

School-based or youth experience strongly preferred.

Excellent communication, collaboration, and crisis management skills.
